I’ve tried a ton of instant ramen hacks, but this one is my favorite yet! This Mayo Ramen recipe only requires mayo, an egg, and your favorite instant ramen! With this hack, you can whip up a perfect meal by elevating your instant ramen in just 10 minutes (or less!).
I especially like this ramen hack because it doesn’t take away the original taste of your instant ramen of choice but rather elevates it and gives the broth a creamy texture. Just mix an egg yolk, one tablespoon of mayo, and minced garlic in a bowl. Add your boiled ramen noodles, and you’re done. It’s just that easy! If you feel fancy, add some toppings, such as spring onions or a soft-boiled egg, and enjoy!
What kind of Mayonnaise should you use?
Mayonnaise is a versatile condiment that is used in a variety of cuisines all over the world. While mayonnaise may seem like a simple ingredient, there are actually several different types of mayonnaise available in the market, each with its own distinct taste and texture. When it comes to making Mayo Ramen, it is essential to use the right kind of mayonnaise to achieve the best results.
One of the most popular types of mayonnaise used for Mayo Ramen is the Korean or Japanese brand of mayonnaise. These mayonnaises are made with a different set of ingredients and have a unique taste that sets them apart from Western-style mayonnaise. They have a more savory and umami flavor that pairs perfectly with the rich broth of the ramen. Korean or Japanese mayonnaise also has a creamier texture that helps to create a smooth and velvety broth.
If you don’t have access to Korean or Japanese mayonnaise, you can still make Mayo Ramen using Western-style mayonnaise. However, to get the same flavor and texture as Korean or Japanese mayonnaise, you need to make a few adjustments. Just add one tablespoon of vinegar and one teaspoon of sugar per cup of Mayonnaise.
